Urogynecology Consultants is Hiring a Medical Biller Near Sacramento, CA

The ideal candidate: Is punctual with attendance and has reliable transportation. Will have a professional and positive demeanor at all times. Possesses strong math and communication skills. Is detail oriented, organized, and skilled in time management. Has a strong capacity for self-motivation and is able to work with minimal supervision.

The primary responsibilities may include:

Preparing and submitting billing for all medical claims to insurance companies.

Posting electronic and traditional payments from insurance payers and patients.

Monitoring claim status for timely processing of payment.

Monitoring reimbursements for accuracy.

Researching rejected and denied claims.

Responding to request for medical documentation.

Processing corrected claims and appeals.

Monitoring aging claim reports.

Patient collection calls.

Answer patient inquiries regarding account balances in person and on the phone.

Advising staff on proper billing procedures.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years previous billing experience, payment posting and reading of EOB's in a healthcare setting. Demonstrated success in collection of payer and/or patient balances. Must be able to work full-time.

Knowledge:

Proficient in ICD-10 coding policies and procedures for Medicare, Medi-Cal, and commercial insurance plans, medical terminology and insurance practices, health insurance processing.

Skills/Abilities:

Highly organized and detail oriented. Computer literacy skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff that will seek your guidance.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
